Manoj Nair is a research scientist at the University of Colorado and a member of the Geomagnetism Team at NOAA’s National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI), which produces global geomagnetic field models, such as the World Magnetic Model and the High Definition Geomagnetic Model. He received an MSc in Geophysics from Cochin University of Science and Technology, India, followed by a PhD in 2004 at National Geophysical Research Institute in Hyderabad (India). After a Postdoc in GeoForschungsZentrum-Potsdam, Germany he started working at NCEI as a research-scientist in 2007. His primary interest lies in Geomagnetism, with a focus on modeling and forecasting of geomagnetic fields using physics-based  and machine-learning techniques. Manoj has authored and co-authored more than 60 peer-reviewed publications. In 2017, he co-founded Flatirons Geomagnetic Services LLC to provide specialized geomagnetic field services to the oil and gas industry.
